A Morning with the Ristaus | Portland Documentary Family Photographer

One of my favorite things about Day in the Life sessions is getting to know really awesome people. The Ristaus are super awesome, very welcoming and they know how to make ridiculously comfy looking forts.

It was a drizzly Sunday in November, but that didn’t stop them from getting dressed for the weather and heading to Mt. Tabor, Portland’s extinct volcano that is now a beautiful park with view of Mt. Hood and the city. I have to say the Ristaus know how to do Sundays: crossword puzzles, a walk in the woods, football, chicken pot pie and Frozen!

Lincoln, who is named after a president (he showed me a book about it) is an awesome big brother. And his little sister Mila is spunky and hilarious. They are so lucky to explore Portland as they grown up. Not only do you have an amazing city, you’re close to nature in all directions.

Leola, Kenny, Lincoln and Mila, thank you so much for welcoming me into your home and spending the morning with me!
